Awesome summer evening today in Ijmuiden,  just Beautiful 😍 

I decided to enhance our system with a chart plotter from B&G. I choose Vulcan 7R because its dimensions fit well in the cockpit console of Bavaria 30. I wanted to connect the plotter with the VHF and to get AIS data on the cockpit.  It appears that B&G products will not speak with each other unless they are connected in NMEA 2000 system. I checked, and if I wanted to connect seatalk 1 Raymarine instruments to the plotter the system should look something like that: So basically I should also convert seatalk 1 to seatalk 2 of Raymarine, and connect the STK2 to the NMEA system. I decided to wait a bit, because I am not sure if I want to change the instruments. So it is just the VHF to the plotter. I connected them to the same switch. Works pretty nice. It looks that any boat which I see in the North sea has some kind of AIS. Great I see them all :) 

Since we got our baby boy on board, we decided that it will be a good idea to install safety railings net.  Veni looks even more sexy with it.
