I painted this year Veni with two layers of Hempel classic 71220 navy blue. Looks awesome 👌 

I decided to try to cover the saildrive and the propeller with the propsspeed. It is advertised as the best running gear coating on the market, recognised as the most effective solution to prevent marine growth and protect underwater assets. https://propspeed.com/products/propspeed/product-information Actually looks pretty good. They say it can be used like for 3 years before you need to change it. Let see how it will goes.

I decided to change the rudder since the old one was compromised.  I ordered new rudder from Jeffa marine, coated it with 7 layers of Gelshield 200, and top it with antifouling. Looks good. Jeffa recommend changing of the seal of Sika 221 around the shaft at least every 3 years to avoid osmosis.  The old one was with osmosis and the previous owner has thought that it is a good idea to drill a lot of holes in it and to fill it with sikaflex.

The jobs on Veni keep on going. I did the sanding of the keel with P60 paper, then made the antirust treatment with rust remover from Epifanes , and finally cover the kiel with Primocon from International. Looks good and ready for the antifouling. 

It is time to do the saildrive seal replacement. It is recommended by Volvo to be done at least every 7 years. 7 years from the previous replacement passed last November. The change of the seal was done by the official Volvo dealer in Ijmuiden "Terlouw". https://terlouwrotterdam.com/. Awesome job done by Ewoud. Thanks.
